Job Summary
Bristol Hospice seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a Per Diem position. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments of patients and families, developing care plans, communicating with physicians about patient needs, teaching self-care techniques, and working with an interdisciplinary team. Candidates should have at least one year of acute care experience, current state licensure, and an understanding of hospice care. Required Qualifications
- Must have at least one (1) year of acute care experience in an institutional setting
- Must have a current licensure in the state
- Must understand the philosophy of hospice concept and understand needs of the terminally ill
- Must demonstrate nursing skills per competency checklist
- Ability to travel throughout the Bristol Hospice Service Area
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in home care preferred
- Willingness to maintain knowledge of information systems and applicable software programs
