Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham. Follow aseptic sterile technique per AORN/ASPAN standards, evaluate patient responses to treatments, manage pain, and anticipate case-specific needs based on procedure knowledge and pathophysiology. Full-time days schedule with three 8AM-8:30PM shifts per week. Requires BLS certification within 30 days and ACLS within 180 days, plus Alabama RN licensure.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Professional licensure at time of hire
