RN - Registered Nurse - Outpatient Surgery Center (I-35)

Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care in Mercy’s Outpatient Surgery Center using the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care. Coordinate care with other departments, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and uphold Mercy standards. Duties span pre- and post-operative phases, with a focus on safety, quality, and compassionate patient care. Requires current RN licensure, basic life support, and unit-specific certifications as needed; one year of RN experience preferred. Shift options include 8- or 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduated from a school of nursing with an Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN
- Licensure: current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or completion within 30 days; ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/PALS/PEARS/S.T.A.B.L.E. or unit-specific certifications as required
- Experience: One year of RN experience preferred
- Physical/functional: ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs; standing/walking for shift
- Shift: Full Time, 40 hours/week, 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, no weekends/holidays/no call
