Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized dialysis patient care in an outpatient setting using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for patient assessment, education, care coordination with physicians and inter-professional colleagues, and supervision/delegation to unlicensed personnel within the licensed nursing scope. Documents patient history, symptoms and medications per standards; uses technology to enhance care and to support collaboration with the care team; adheres to the Nurse Practice Act and applicable regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs
- multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific licensure, competencies and certifications
