Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for dialysis patients using the nursing process. Coordinate care, conduct patient assessments, provide education, and collaborate with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan and evaluate dialysis care. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided in compliance with standards and regulations. Utilize technology to enhance quality care, delegate to, and supervise unlicensed personnel while assuming overall nursing accountability. Maintain competency within the full scope of nursing expertise and adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and state licensure requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific licensure, competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
