Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, and plan individualized nursing care for dialysis patients using the nursing process. Coordinate care, educate patients, and implement interventions while collaborating with physicians and inter-professional colleagues. Document patient history, symptoms, and medications in compliance with state regulations and the Nurse Practice Act. Utilize technology to enhance quality care, effectively delegate to and supervise unlicensed personnel, and assume overall nursing accountability. Work 12-hour day shifts Monday through Friday at Chamberlain Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific licensure, competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
