Job Summary
Provide individualized nursing care to dialysis patients using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate care, conduct patient assessments, deliver patient education, and implement various nursing interventions. Collaborate with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan and evaluate dialysis care. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided in compliance with applicable standards. Utilize technology to enhance quality care and effectively delegate to and supervise unlicensed personnel. Work 3 days a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in an 8-chair unit.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific licensure, competencies and certifications
- Must obtain a drug screen
- Must undergo pre-employment background screening
