Job Summary
RN in outpatient dialysis setting using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide individualized care to dialysis patients. Responsible for patient assessment, education, care coordination, and collaboration with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan and evaluate dialysis care. Practices within nursing standards and Nurse Practice Act; documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care in compliance with applicable standards. Utilizes technology to enhance patient care and effectively delegates to and supervises unlicensed personnel, assuming nursing accountability. Requires nursing degree (BSN preferred) and an unencumbered RN license with state board; capable of obtaining and maintaining required department-specific licensure and certifications. 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week (Mon-Wed-Fri); no weekends; sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required
- Unencumbered RN license in state of practice or multistate licensure (NLC)
- Maintains required department-specific licensure, competencies and certifications
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 days a week (Mon-Wed-Fri); no weekends
- Experience in dialysis nursing and coordination of care may be implied by role
- Clinical practice standards per Nurse Practice Act and relevant state rules
- Evidence of professional nursing practice ethics and standards
