Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, and evaluate dialysis patients using the nursing process to provide individualized care. Coordinate care plans with physicians and inter-professional colleagues while documenting patient history, symptoms, and medications in compliance with state regulations. Utilize technology to enhance quality care, delegate to unlicensed personnel, and assume overall nursing accountability for the 8-chair unit. Maintain competency within the full scope of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act. Work 12-hour day shifts Monday through Friday, with no weekends, at Chamberlain Medical Center in Chamberlain, SD.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific licensure, competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
