Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, and evaluate dialysis patients using the nursing process to provide individualized care. Coordinate care plans with physicians and inter-professional colleagues while documenting patient history, symptoms, and medications in compliance with state regulations. Implement various nursing interventions, educate patients, and supervise unlicensed personnel within the full scope of nursing practice. Utilize technology to enhance quality care and maintain overall accountability for patient outcomes at the Chamberlain Medical Center dialysis unit.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific licensure, competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
