Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for orthopedic and neurosurgical post-surgical patients. Implement and monitor patient care plans while noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care and assess discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. Licensed RNs with BLS certification are required to join this full-time role at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham, where a collaborative spirit guides our commitment to personalized care and healing.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
