RN (Registered Nurse) Operating Room- General Surgery

Job Summary
Conduct perioperative nursing care for general surgery patients, performing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication through rounds and case reviews while documenting safe, quality patient care. Mentor preceptors and staff to ensure a qualified workforce, and participate in performance improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice activities. Uphold WellStar policies, TJC safety goals, and professional standards while supporting recruitment and retention efforts. Requires BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, five years of direct patient care experience, and a BSN preferred. Part-time day shift with 24-hour schedule.
Required Qualifications

- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- Minimum 5 years direct patient care nursing experience
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- Licensed

- uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association
