RN (Registered Nurse) Operating Room- General Surgery- PT Days

Job Summary
Conduct perioperative nursing care for general surgery patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, document care delivery, and partner with patients and families to set goals and provide education. Mentor staff and students, lead performance improvement initiatives, and participate in shared governance activities. Uphold evidence-based practice standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements while promoting a respectful clinical environment. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 6:45am to 3:15pm with call rotation. Requires 5 years of direct patient care experience and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years direct patient care nursing experience
- All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated
- It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association
- upholds the voice of the patient, system policies and procedures while supporting service excellence goals
- Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
