Job Summary
Deliver professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures by performing scrub functions, including instrument selection and handling, and circulating functions, such as monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition. Directly assist the operating physician with surgical tasks like hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Maintain BLS and Advanced Life Support certifications obtained within 30 and 180 days of hire, respectively, and hold a current Alabama Board of Nursing credential. Work 6am-3pm Monday through Friday with rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
