Job Summary
Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures by performing scrub functions including instrument selection and handling, and circulating functions involving monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition. Directly assist operating physicians with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Maintain BLS certification within 30 days of hire and Advanced Life Support within 180 days. Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing is required prior to hire.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
