Job Summary
Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. Perform scrub functions including instrument selection and handling, and execute circulating duties such as monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition. Directly assist the operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Requires BLS certification within 30 days and ACLS within 180 days, plus Alabama RN licensure. Schedule includes 6am-3pm Monday through Friday with rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
