Job Summary
Deliver professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures in the operative setting. Perform scrub functions by selecting and handling instruments and supplies, while managing circulating duties including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition before, during, and after procedures. Directly assist the operating physician with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Requires BLS and Advanced Life Support certification, Alabama RN licensure, and a nursing diploma. Schedule includes 6am-3pm Monday-Friday with rotating weekday/weekend/holiday call.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
