Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for patients with cancer diagnoses or histories. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. This 22-bed unit also manages medical-surgical patients with conditions ranging from pneumonia to CHF and diabetes, supporting procedures including biopsies and cholecystectomies.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification for BLS
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Professional licensure at time of hire
