Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for patients with cancer or a history of cancer, while also managing medical-surgical cases ranging from pneumonia to CHF. Implement and monitor patient care plans, record and communicate patient conditions, and serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Full-time night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. required. BLS certification within 30 days and Alabama RN licensure mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification for BLS
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Professional licensure at time of hire
