Job Summary
Administers nursing care for oncology patients in the outpatient clinic, including chemotherapy administration; collaborates with physicians and the nursing/interdisciplinary team to maintain standards of professional nursing practice in oncology; assesses patient condition and needs, sets goals, and prescribes nursing actions to meet physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs; provides patient and family teaching, develops procedures and reports observations; participates in patient care review meetings and research activity; assists in orientation of new nursing personnel and student observers; supports economical utilization and safe equipment management; maintains records and billing support; requires BSN (preferred), Ohio RN license, oncology background, and Oncology Certification within specified hours; able to work in a stressful environment and lift immobile patients.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited course for registered nurses
- Current Ohio RN license; Oncology Certified Nurse preferred; Oncology Nursing Certification should be obtained within 1 year once ONCC required hours are met
- Current ONS Chemotherapy provider card
- BSN preferred
