Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the OB Emergency Department while implementing and monitoring patient care plans. Coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team and serve as a primary liaison for all disciplines. Record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate while carrying out physician and nursing orders. Maintain BLS certification within 30 days of hire and Advanced Life Support within 180 days. Work weekend nights in Birmingham, AL, as part of a collaborative team at UAB St. Vincent's, a trusted provider serving Alabama for over 125 years.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
