Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the OB Emergency Department while implementing and monitoring patient care plans. Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. This weekend-only night shift role supports UAB St. Vincent's legacy of service and healing in central Alabama, fostering a collaborative spirit among our employees.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
