Job Summary
Deliver specialized neurology and stroke care on a 14-bed stepdown unit, managing patients with seizures, strokes, and post-neurosurgical recovery. Administer vasoactive drips, invasive blood pressure monitoring, and intravenous thrombolysis or thrombectomy treatments while utilizing the nursing process for assessment, judgment, and evaluation. Coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care for patients and families, collaborating with physicians and the broader healthcare team to support restorative and peaceful outcomes. Work flexible full-time or part-time shifts including weekends and evenings, with a preference for BLS certification and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
