Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care on an 18-bed MICU stepdown unit for patients with cardiac, respiratory, and complex medical conditions. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions as appropriate. Full-time nights (7pm-7am), full-time days (7am-7pm), or weekend-only day shifts (7am-7pm) are available. BLS certification and Alabama RN licensure are required.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted BLS certification
