Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for patients needing close monitoring for cardiac, respiratory, and complex medical conditions. Implement and monitor patient care plans, record and communicate patient conditions, and serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing is required, along with a BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire. Full-time nights, days, and weekend day shifts are available at UAB St. Vincent's East, a trusted provider of healthcare serving Alabama for over 125 years.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
