Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for patients needing close monitoring in an 18-bed MICU stepdown unit. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions as appropriate. Full-time nights (7pm-7am) or days (7am-7pm) shifts available, with weekend days also offered. New grads welcome.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
