Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for patients on the MICU Stepdown Unit. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Full-time nights (7pm-7am), full-time days (7am-7pm), or weekend-only day shifts are available. BLS certification and Alabama RN licensure are required.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification for BLS
