Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the MICU Stepdown Unit by implementing and monitoring patient care plans for patients with cardiac, respiratory, and complex medical conditions. Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, assess and discharge planning needs, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders while adhering to established policies, procedures, and protocols. Full-time days (7am-7pm), nights (7pm-7am), or weekend shifts available at UAB St. Vincent's East. New grads welcome.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
