Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs in the MICU. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders while monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions. Work full-time nights (7pm-7am) with BLS and Advanced Life Support certifications required within 30 and 180 days, respectively.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
