Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs, implementing and monitoring individualized care plans. Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care by serving as the primary point of contact, while assessing and carrying out physician and nursing orders. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate, and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Work full-time nights (7pm-7am) in the MICU at UAB St. Vincent's East- Trussville, AL.
Required Qualifications
- Full-Time Nights - 7pm-7am
- UAB St. Vincent's East- Trussville, AL
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted (BLS)
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted (ALS)
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
