Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing, recording, and communicating patient conditions. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. This role offers full-time night shifts from 7pm to 7am at UAB St. Vincent's East in Trussville, AL.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
- Full-Time Nights - 7pm-7am schedule
- Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's East- Trussville, AL
