Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit for adult and geriatric patients, implementing and monitoring care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate within a structured team approach managed by a dedicated intensivist team. Full-time night shift (7pm-7am) at UAB St. Vincent's East- Trussville, AL.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
