Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. This full-time night shift role (7pm-7am) supports adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs at UAB St. Vincent's East, a trusted provider serving Alabama for over 125 years.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
