Job Summary
Assess, plan, and coordinate direct patient care for the advanced acute population in the 24-bed Medical ICU, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies. Formulate and revise care plans based on patient response while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve complex clinical needs. Promote patient and family safety, satisfaction, and adaptive responses throughout the continuum of care, addressing physical, psychological, and spiritual requirements. Participate in unit-based decision-making, quality and safety education programs, and evidence-based practice initiatives within a shared governance environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania
- Integrity and the ability to self-report mistakes or errors without fear of being reprimanded a must
- Candidates should never be afraid to ask questions and want to understand the 'why'
- Seeking candidates who wish to make an impact with patients, families, and peers, and have a strong internal motivated to succeed in their professional development
- We are looking for candidates who can critically think to make quick decisions, while remaining calm during stressful situations
- someone who is detail-oriented, but able to see the bigger picture
- The ability to work under a Temporary Practice Permit until you take NCLEX
