RN - Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, monitoring and recording patient conditions as appropriate. This 19-bed Med Surg unit manages patients with diagnoses ranging from pneumonia and COPD to CHF and diabetes, handling common surgical procedures including EGDs, lithotripsy, PEG tube placement, and cholecystectomies. Full-time night shifts run from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. are available.
