Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care for general medical/surgical patients, including those with diagnoses ranging from pneumonia and COPD to CHF and diabetes. Implement and monitor patient care plans while noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care and assess discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. Full-time night shift (7p to 7a) required.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
