Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans, recording and communicating patient conditions as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Work full-time nights from 7p to 7a on a 19-bed Med Surg unit treating patients with diagnoses ranging from pneumonia to CHF, including those undergoing procedures like EGDs and cholecystectomies.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
