RN - Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, monitoring and recording patient conditions as appropriate. 5West Med Surg is a 19-bed unit treating general medical/surgical patients with diagnoses ranging from pneumonia to CHF, managing common surgical procedures including EGDs, lithotripsy, PEG tube placement, and cholecystectomies. This full-time night shift role (7p to 7a) requires current Alabama RN licensure and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
