RN - Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for general medical/surgical patients. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, monitoring and recording patient conditions as appropriate. This role is on the 5West Med Surg unit, a 19-bed facility treating conditions ranging from pneumonia to CHF, with common procedures including EGDs and cholecystectomies.
