RN - Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Provide direct nursing care for medical/surgical patients by implementing and monitoring care plans, recording patient conditions, and communicating updates. Serve as the primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care, while noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Maintain BLS certification within 30 days of hire and hold current Alabama RN licensure. Work full-time nights (7p to 7a) on a 19-bed unit treating diagnoses ranging from pneumonia to CHF, with common procedures including EGDs, lithotripsy, PEG tube placement, and cholecystectomies.
