Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for general medical/surgical patients. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, monitoring and recording patient conditions as appropriate. Work full-time nights (7p to 7a) in the 19-bed 5West Med Surg unit at UAB St. Vincent's East.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification for BLS
