Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care for general medical/surgical patients, including those with diagnoses ranging from pneumonia and COPD to CHF and diabetes. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Work full-time nights (7p to 7a) on a 19-bed unit.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
