Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans, recording and communicating patient conditions as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Work in a 30-bed medical and surgical stepdown unit designed for nurses seeking to advance skills without ICU intensity.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
