Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans, record, and communicate patient conditions. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. 3 West is a 32-bed acute care unit at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham serving patients with a wide range of medical conditions including stroke. The unit provides high-quality, evidence-based stroke care in a supportive environment.
