RN - Registered Nurse - Med Surg - Multiple Shifts

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. This role supports a 32-bed acute care unit at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham, which holds Primary Stroke Center Certification and treats patients with a wide range of medical conditions including stroke.
