Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. This 32-bed acute care unit at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham serves patients with a wide range of medical conditions including stroke, offering a supportive environment for building foundational skills.
