RN - Registered Nurse - Med Surg - Multiple Shifts

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans while recording and communicating patient conditions. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Work full-time nights or days (7 to 7) or part-time shifts in a 24-bed acute care unit at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham, serving patients with general medical conditions including respiratory illnesses, sepsis, diabetes, and hypertension. Requires current Alabama RN licensure and BLS certification.
