Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Maintain accurate monitoring, recording, and communication of patient conditions as appropriate. This weekend-only role at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham requires BLS and Advanced Life Support certification, with a preference for prior Labor and Delivery experience.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire

- Previous Labor and Delivery RN experience
- Previous LDRP experience
