Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit while implementing and monitoring patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate, serving as the primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. This role supports UAB St. Vincent's mission of extending kindness and personalized care to patients and families across Alabama.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
