Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit while implementing and monitoring patient care plans. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Maintain licensure from the Alabama Board of Nursing and obtain BLS and Advanced Life Support certifications. Work full-time nights in three 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. or on PRN nights and rotating shifts at UAB St. Vincent's St. Clair.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
